  • The Main Gates open at 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Some MATI Places activations, taking place outside the core festival footprint, may begin prior to noon and will be fully accessible.

  • Washington Avenue and surrounding streets will be full of vendors, food trucks, buskers, pop-up performances and sponsor activations. MATI will also have a variety of family-friendly activities, including carnival-themed rides and games.

  • No, the festival will take place rain or shine, so please plan accordingly.

  • Yes, you may leave the festival and re-enter at a later time on the same day.

  • All ages are welcome. Children under twelve years old are free (General Admission only).

  • Yes, there are food trucks and on-site food and beverage providers.

  • Yes, all major credit cards are accepted.

  • Parking garages, parking lots and street parking is available throughout Midtown. Grand Center and SLU's parking garages will be accessible. We also encourage attendees to utilize Metro Transit and ride sharing.

    OR, weekend of, visit the MATI Box Office located at the west side entrance (Washington Ave and Theresa) starting at 11 a.m. There will also be a box office open at .ZACK at 10 a.m. (Friday and Saturday only) to accommodate conference attendees.

  • MATI Main Stages weekend passes are $150. Weekend four-packs are available for $400 through August 14. A limited number of MATI Main Stages single-day passes are also on sale for $60-$90 ($60 for Friday, $90 for Saturday, $90 for Sunday).

    For those looking for a lower barrier to entry - to experience the festive atmosphere, support a favorite St. Louis-based artist or poet, attend the conference, or participate in a community workshop - MATI Places ONLY single-day passes are available for $20.

    Fans can also join the MATI Movement at a variety of levels, ranging from $200 to $2500, making them not only a generous patron of the St. Louis arts, but also a MATI Member with insider access to festival weekend and year-round programming, special perks, and more.

  • Attendees who purchase a MATI Main Stages pass (weekend or single day) will have access to the entire festival and conference footprint, including the four MATI Main Stages: The Big Top, The Sovereign (3300 Washington Avenue), Field Stage and Sophie’s Artist Lounge. The MATI Main Stages feature the festival’s headlining musical acts, as well as an incredible lineup of regional and St. Louis-based artists.

    All MATI Main Stages passholders will have access to indoor restrooms, expanded seating, lounge areas, shade structures and curated food & beverage options. The Big Top and Field Stage will feature new video elements, while The Sovereign - brand new for 2025 - will offer a state-of-the-art audio and visual concert experience. MATI Main Stages pass holders will be able to come and go freely from the Washington Avenue block party to the performance areas, showing their pass at security checkpoints to gain access to the Main Stages.

    Additionally, MATI is activating more than a dozen stages and venues throughout Grand Center and Locust Business District, called MATI Places. Access to all MATI Places is included with a MATI Main Stages pass.

    MATI Places passes do NOT include access to the four MATI Main Stages (The Big Top, The Sovereign, Field Stage and Sophie's Artist Lounge).

    MATI Places include Central Stage, High Low, Jazz St. Louis, Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, The Dark Room, The Key (3221-3225 Olive), Work & Leisure x Kre8 Space, and .ZACK, as well as non-ticketed, publicly-accessible spaces including CAM (Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis), Counterpublic, Golden Gems and Hidden Gem, Metro Theatre, The Pulitzer Arts Foundation, Sally’s Rooftop Garden, and Strauss Park. Programming at MATI Places includes a wide variety of community curations: everything from musical performances, DJ sets, poetry slams and family-friendly raves to rooftop yoga, artist workshops, industry panels and keynote speakers.

  • MATI 2025 does not offer VIP tickets. Instead, fans looking for an elevated experience are encouraged to become a patron and join the MATI Movement. Depending on level of membership, MATI Members get access to non-public areas in the footprint - like Scene Champions Lounge - artist meet-and-greets, exclusive merch and special programming year-round.   • Yes. Washington Avenue will be a fully-connected Grand Center walking experience for those with tickets and without. After passing through security, the community is welcome to explore Washington Avenue and surrounding streets. Between Theresa Avenue and Leonard Avenue will be full of vendors, food trucks, buskers, pop-up performances and sponsor activations. MATI will also have a variety of family-friendly activities, including carnival-themed rides and games.

    Also, several of the MATI Places do not require a MATI pass / wristband for entry, including: CAM (Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis), Counterpublic, Golden Gems and Hidden Gem, Metro Theatre, The Pulitzer Arts Foundation, Sally’s Rooftop Garden, and Strauss Park.

  • No, only whoever uses the pass at check-in must use it the entire weekend.

  • Security and safety are of the utmost importance. We work hand-in-hand with relevant city law enforcement, fire and EMS agencies to help in the safety of our event. Because of those very same concerns, we are unable to publicly comment on any specific actions that are taken.

  • MATI is a fully accessible event, and we are dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure you have access to all the festival amenities.   • Yes, guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to be able to relax in front of the outdoor stages (Field Stage and The Big Top). Please note, however, that chairs and blankets will not be allowed inside The Sovereign, Sophie's Artist Lounge or MATI Places.

  • No, coolers of any kind are not allowed on the festival grounds.

  • No outside food or beverages of any kind can be brought into the festival. That said, an empty, reusable clear, water bottle, hydration packs, and camel backs may be brought in and refilled at the many hydration stations throughout the festival grounds.

  • CLEAR plastic/vinyl tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and/or small clutch bags, purses or fanny packs (4.5”x 6.5”) will be permitted. The small clutch bags, purses or fanny packs do not need to be clear. No full-sized backpacks may be brought into the festival.

  • Yes, but only non-aerosol sunscreen containers, 3.4 ounces or less.

  • Only certified service animals are allowed onto the festival grounds. Guests will be asked to present their service animal's paperwork before admittance to festival grounds.

  • Small personal point-and-shoot cameras are allowed, but professional DSLR cameras are not permitted. Video cameras are strictly prohibited. Video recording any performance on any device is also prohibited.

  • Vendor applications are closed for 2025. Please keep an eye on MATI social channels and website for future opportunities.

  • The deadline for volunteer applications is August 14, 2025. The volunteer form can be found at kranzbergartsfoundation.org under "The Call" dropdown
